Questions
Padel questions, answered
Everything people usually ask before their first session. Anything missing? Ask us on WhatsApp.
What is padel?
Padel is a racket sport, usually played in doubles, on an enclosed court of 20 by 10 metres. The back walls are glass and the ball can be played off them. Serves are underhand, which makes it quick to pick up.
Is padel the same as paddle tennis or pickleball?
No. They are different sports with different courts, rackets and rules. Padel is played on a walled court with a solid, perforated racket and a low-pressure ball.
Do I need any experience?
No. The beginner programme is designed for people who have never played, and covers the rules, the serve and using the walls from the start.
Where are the courts?
In Dubai, at Al Ittihad Private School in Al Safa, Jumeirah. In Abu Dhabi, at Muna British School on Sa'adiyat Street.
When can I play?
On weekdays from 4pm in both cities. At weekends from 6am in Dubai and 7am in Abu Dhabi. Dubai sessions run until midnight, Abu Dhabi until 11pm.
How much do lessons cost?
It depends on the programme and the city. Message us on WhatsApp and we will send current prices along with the next available slots.
Do you coach children?
Yes. The kids academy groups children by age and level. Tell us your child's age and whether they have played before.
Are there women-only sessions?
Yes. Ladies classes run in the evenings and at weekends, for complete beginners through to regular players.
What should I bring?
Trainers with good grip and water. If you do not have a racket yet, mention it when you book.
What is the cancellation policy?
Please cancel or reschedule at least 6 hours before your session.
